“Research shows that domestic violence survivors are more likely to leave abusive relationships if they are financially independent,” says Lisa Raggio, Senior Director of Community Services, Development and Communication for the YWCA in Glendale. “In addition, often domestic violence survivors suffer from economic abuse as well. Programs focused on educating women on financial literacy positively influence domestic violence survivors, leading them to an independent life free from violence.”
The Grand Opening of The Joint and launch of the Facebook Financial Literacy Campaign will be held at 350 N Glendale Ave, Unit A, Glendale, CA 91206, from 10am-7pm with a celebration including refreshments, entertainment and complimentary adjustments from 3pm -7pm.
